Why come to counselling?

For all of us there can be times in our lives when we feel anxious, stressed, unhappy, and alone, and when we find it hard to cope with life. We may be feeling overwhelmed by emotional problems and unable to resolve them on our own. Working alongside an accepting, empathic, non-judgmental Counsellor in a confidential setting, can help us to explore what is going on for us.
There are many reasons why people come for counselling. A few examples are:

Depression
Stress
Relationship Difficulties
Low self-Esteem
Bereavement
Major life changes
Childhood issues

Counselling offers you the opportunity to find out more about yourself and how to work through your difficulties.

At Concepts we offer:

  • Individual Counselling

  • Therapeutic use of image

  • Supervision

  • Groupwork

Concepts Works:

We can also arrange counselling for employees, without the need for employers to commit to an annual contract. If you would like to know more about our services for local business, then please contact us and ask for our leaflet.

Appointments:

Appointments can be made in the daytime or on some evenings.
We understand that you will not want to be kept waiting and aim to offer you an appointment quickly. If you call Concepts and we are not available to take your call, then please leave a message on our answerphone and we will call you back. Or you can leave a message via email.

Where will the counselling take place?

Concepts' counselling rooms

Our premises are in the centre of Chelmsford, easily accessible by road, bus, or train. 12 Parkway is situated between Moulsham Street and New London Road, and our offices are above the National Schoolwear Shop in Parkway. We have a separate entrance to the first floor. There are various car parks nearby.
